Chip seal, asphalt or seal coating?

These are different services. Chip seal uses asphalt binder and aggregate chips to create a textured surface. Asphalt paving creates a smoother paved surface. Seal coating is a maintenance treatment for existing asphalt. The condition of the underlying surface matters whichever option you choose.
